Know God
What does it mean to know God? What does a relationship with Him even look like?
How to know God
God is real
"After all, everything that man can know in God, God also revealed to them. Both His eternal power and divinity, which are invisible, can be seen in created nature. Therefore, no one will be able to argue that he did not know about God." ( Romans 1:19-20 )
Sin has consequences
Here is our problem. We messed it up and it caused a gap between us and God. No one is innocent. ( Romans 3:23 )
The consequence of sin is death, both physical and eternal. ( Romans 6:23 )
God made a way
Jesus' death paid the price for our sins. Jesus' resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus' death as payment for our sins. ( Romans 5:8 )
Confess and believe
Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and save us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. ( Romans 10:9 )
Results of Salvation
Thanks to Jesus' death for us...
- Never we will not be condemned for our sins. ( Romans 5:1 )
- We can have peace with God. ( Romans 8:1 )
- We have a promise. ( Romans 8:38-39 )
- We receive the Holy Spirit. ( Ephesians 1:13-14 )
- We will see the proof of this salvation. ( Galatians 5:22-23 )
Prayer for Salvation
Would you like to start a relationship with By God? If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray. Saying this prayer is a way to tell God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for salvation. Words alone will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation!
"God, I know that I have sinned against you and I deserve punishment. But Jesus Christ took upon himself the punishment I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With Your help I put my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your amazing grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!"
What now?
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, you are a Christian. You may not feel differently, but the gospel is about facts, not feelings, and if you have put your faith in Christ, you have been forgiven and He has come into your life.
